while we here at pretty/tasty cookies really love to sing the aladdin soundtrack at the top of our lungs, that's not what we're talking about here with this post title. we wanted the pretty/tasty world to know that we are back in the great state of Texas for the foreseeable future. while we know this is sad for durham, nc and the rest of the east coast, we're pretty excited about it. and we hope you're excited about it, too, if you're in the lone star state! if you're thinking "but now you're farther from me" you can spread the word to your friends in the state whose name means "friendship" how jealous you are that pretty/tasty cookies are so close to them now (and they should order some today!).
grad school is over (that's a whole new world for us), we've got student loans to pay off (a whole new burden...), and even though we have big person jobs now there's always time and delight in making pretty/tasty cookies.
as always, we love to play around - don't think that the pictures at the right are all that we can do! we can play with color, embellishments (sprinkles, dragees, etc.), and we started out a long, long time ago not even using cookie cutters but creating shapes and lettering by hand or with stencils. so, you know, we really. love. making cookies that look and taste good.
generally prices per dozen hover around $20-$27 (we totally take into account size, but you have to also remember intricacy/royal vs buttercream/number of colors of icing/making up a design without a cookie cutter plays a role, too).
